The community is invited to a public information open house for the Medlock Bridge Road at McGinnis Ferry Road intersection project on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 11360 Lakefield Drive.
The intersection improvement on State Route 141 / Medlock Bridge Road project will add a third thru lane in both the northbound and southbound directions from East Johns Crossing / Hospital Parkway intersection to Johns Creek Parkway (North) crossing McGinnis Ferry Road. The project includes a second left turn lane on both the north and south legs of Medlock Bridge Road turning onto McGinnis Ferry Road. This project will also add pedestrian and bicycle connectivity along Medlock Bridge Road with the addition of wide sidewalks. Additional improvements are proposed on some non-signalized commercial driveways within the project limits to improve safety for drivers turning in and out of the shopping centers.
