Annual Audit (CAFR)

Following an independent audit of the City's finances by a certified public accounting firm, the Finance Department prepares the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

The CAFR provides a set of financial statements including the auditor’s report, management’s discussion and analysis, audited basic financial statements and notes to the financial statements.

The city prepares its CAFR in compliance with the accounting requirements promulgated by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and based on the requirements of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the CAFR is prepared and published in April (six months after the end of Johns Creek’s financial year).
