HomeResidents Community Development Comprehensive Plan

The Johns Creek 2018 Comprehensive Plan was officially adopted by the Mayor and City Council on Oct. 8, 2018 as a policy document and guide for the future development of the City. The Georgia Planning Act of 1989 requires each jurisdiction to update the Comprehensive Plan every five years, and the required update for Johns Creek is due this October.

This Comprehensive Plan Update is the result of an intensive four-month community-oriented planning process that began in April 2023. In order to bring the planning process to the people, City staff released an online survey, distributed flyers and attended multiple community events (Touch-A-Truck, Juneteenth, etc.). The first community meeting was held on June 22, and we are inviting you to attend our second citywide meeting next Monday, July 17at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

We look forward to receiving everyone’s input. If you have any questions or comments, please email City staff at CompPlan@johnscreekga.gov.
