Chris Coughlin won an elected stub (interim) term in 2015 and served on the Johns Creek City Council. He was elected again in a special election in April 2017.
Chris currently works as a Senior Research Scientist at Gartner where he works on research of talent selection and management best practices and the development of data-driven pre-employment selection products. Chris is active in the community as a volunteer, involved with North Point Community Church’s small group ministry and foster support groups, coaches soccer at Newtown, serves on the Johns Creek Mental Health Wellness task force, leads the Johns Creek Traffic Congestion task force, and served as a Director on the Board of the Johns Creek Community Association.
Chris was raised in Georgia and graduated as valedictorian from Alexander High School. Chris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from UGA and a Master of Science degree in Industrial‐Organizational Psychology from Valdosta State University.
Chris has lived in Johns Creek for 9 years with his wife, Nicole, and his three children.
