As of Jan. 1, 2026, Johns Creek business owners can begin to renew business occupation tax certificates for the 2026 calendar year. Please note failure to renew your business license by March 31 will result in a 10% late filing penalty, plus applicable interest.
You can renew your business tax application online using the City’s Customer Self-Service (CSS) portal. The 2026 Business Tax renewals will no longer be mailed.
To use CSS, you will need to:
- Provide your business or personal email address for system access
- Establish a personal password for security
- Verify registered email (registered taxpayers only)
- If you already have an e-mail address on file with your business but wish to change it, please call the Revenue Division Office so the new email address can be linked to your CSS account. The Revenue Division staff will have to enter the new email address into the system first so that you can register or utilize CSS online system for the 2026 renewal.
Businesses can renew their 2026 Business Tax License after Jan. 1, 2026. Remember, renewals are due no later than March 31, 2026. Please view the user guide instructions that will help complete your registration with the Customer Self-Service portal.
