Apply now for new Senior Homestead Exemptions for 2026

The Fulton County Board of Assessors is now accepting applications for the new senior homestead exemptions for the Fulton County School District for tax year 2026.

Eligible Johns Creek homeowners 65 and over (and 70 and over for certain exemptions) may qualify for significant reductions in school property taxes. Seniors must apply for these new homestead exemptions by April 1, 2026, even if they already have other exemptions. Fulton County offers the opportunity to apply online or in person and county staff will review your info and apply all exemptions for which you qualify.

Additional information on property taxes and homestead exemptions can be found on the City website or by visiting the Fulton County Board of Assessors website.
