Barnwell/Nesbit Corridor Improvements Update Meeting

The City of Johns Creek is hosting an update and information sharing meeting to provide project details and greater understanding on three road infrastructure projects within the Barnwell Road/Nesbit Ferry Road corridor. The meeting takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025 at 6 p.m. at Park Place (Newtown Park, 3150 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek 30022)

The improvement projects discussed include:

  • Barnwell Road at Niblick Drive and Trail: The intersection improvement project increases sight distances for those exiting Niblick Drive and adds a left turn lane on Barnwell Road for those turning into Niblick Drive. Additionally, a new 8-foot pedestrian trail will be constructed on the west side of the roadway from Niblick Drive to North Peak Drive, improving pedestrian connectivity along the corridor. (Current Stage: Completed project groundbreaking; crews placing traffic barrels within project footprint)
  • Nesbit Ferry Road Roundabout at Colony Club: The project will construct a roundabout at the intersection of Nesbit Ferry Road and Colony Club Drive, including pedestrian improvements within the project limits. (Current Stage: Right-of-way acquisition phase)
  • Nesbit Ferry Road Trail (Brumbelow to Mount Pisgah – East): The project includes construction of trail on the east side of Nesbit Ferry Road from Brumbelow Road to Mount Pisgah. (Current Stage: Project engineering phase)

Please join City staff to learn more about the projects, community benefits, construction timeline, and additional project details.
