The City of Johns Creek is hosting an update and information sharing meeting to provide project details and greater understanding on three road infrastructure projects within the Barnwell Road/Nesbit Ferry Road corridor. The meeting takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025 at 6 p.m. at Park Place (Newtown Park, 3150 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek 30022)
The improvement projects discussed include:
- Barnwell Road at Niblick Drive and Trail: The intersection improvement project increases sight distances for those exiting Niblick Drive and adds a left turn lane on Barnwell Road for those turning into Niblick Drive. Additionally, a new 8-foot pedestrian trail will be constructed on the west side of the roadway from Niblick Drive to North Peak Drive, improving pedestrian connectivity along the corridor. (Current Stage: Completed project groundbreaking; crews placing traffic barrels within project footprint)
- Nesbit Ferry Road Roundabout at Colony Club: The project will construct a roundabout at the intersection of Nesbit Ferry Road and Colony Club Drive, including pedestrian improvements within the project limits. (Current Stage: Right-of-way acquisition phase)
- Nesbit Ferry Road Trail (Brumbelow to Mount Pisgah – East): The project includes construction of trail on the east side of Nesbit Ferry Road from Brumbelow Road to Mount Pisgah. (Current Stage: Project engineering phase)
