The community is invited to attend a public information open house for the Medlock Bridge Road at State Bridge Road intersection improvement project on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025 at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 11360 Lakefield Drive.
The project includes adding a third left turn lane from southbound Medlock Bridge Road to eastbound State Bridge Road and also from westbound State Bridge Road to southbound Medlock Bridge Road. Additionally, Medlock Bridge Road will be restriped to accommodate a third northbound through lane at the intersection with State Bridge Road with a new northbound right-turn lane. Medlock Bridge will also be restriped to accommodate three through lanes both northbound and southbound at the intersection with Old Alabama Road.
The Medlock Bridge Road Trail will be extended on the west side of the roadway from Perimeter Church to Bobby Jones Drive (across from the Atlanta Athletic Club entrance).
