The Johns Creek Business Lab (JC BizLab) is a six-month, cohort-based initiative designed to help local business owners refine their operations, develop innovative solutions, and position their businesses for long-term success.
Through structured educational sessions, one-on-one technical assistance, and a final Pitch Event, JC BizLab provides participants with the tools, knowledge, and network to scale their businesses effectively.
What are the eligibility requirements?
To apply, your business must:
- Be in operation for at least 2 years
- Have operated within the City of Johns Creek for at least 1 year
- Be in compliance with all local and state regulations
How do I apply?
Applications are submitted online.
How much does it cost?
- Standard program fee: $399
- With a City-sponsored scholarship, the cost is reduced to $99 for accepted participants.
How do I qualify for the scholarship?
The City of Johns Creek offers scholarships that reduce the program fee to $99.
- Scholarships are limited to the first 30 eligible businesses
- Awards are given on a first-come, first-served basis, based on application completion and eligibility
- No additional scholarship application is required
Will I receive a certificate upon graduation?
Yes. Businesses that complete the program will receive a certificate of completion at the Graduation & Pitch Event.
To qualify for graduation and certification, participants must:
- Attend at least four (4) class sessions
- Complete 90% of all required assignments
- Complete at least one (1) hour of technical assistance with the GSU Small Business Development Center

All sessions are held in person at Johns Creek City Hall, 11360 Lakefield Drive, Johns Creek, GA 30097.
