City offers STEAM summer camps

It’s summer camp sign-up season and the City of Johns Creek is excited to offer the Challenge Island Summer Camp in June and July.

Challenge Island, a Science Technology Engineering Arts & Math (STEAM) enrichment program, involves problem solving and critical thinking adventures for campers.
 
Camps include:

  • Slimetopia: Slime Chefs on Deck – Monday, June 3 – Friday, June 2, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
  • STEAM Sports Camp, Monday, June 10 – Friday, June 14, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Arcade Fun Camp, Monday, July 15 – Friday, July 19, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Road Trip USA!, Monday, July 22 – Friday, July 26, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All camps, for ages 6-10, are held at the Newtown Community Clubhouse, 3125 Old Alabama Road, inside Newtown Park. 
 
The cost is $375 for residents and $562.50 for non-residents.
 
Registration opens at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28. View camp descriptions and registration information on the city website.
