Johns Creek adopts Millage Rate for 2023

The Johns Creek City Council rolled back the millage rate from the advertised 3.986 per $1,000 of assessed value to 3.646 per $1,000 of assessed value for Fiscal Year 2023.  The rollback rate is the legal definition of that rate that maintains property tax revenues at net neutral on the collective group of existing properties.

“Where the Tax Digest shows the value of property in the City is increasing, by adopting the rollback millage rate of 3.646, we made the conscious decision not to raise taxes since there were no emergencies or necessities that would go without funding.  In fact, even with the rollback rate, we will have a considerable surplus and we will use that money to further improve our community,” said Mayor John Bradberry.
