About the Project
This Georgia Department of Transportation project along State Route (SR) 120 / Abbotts Bridge Road from Medlock Bridge Road to Peachtree Industrail Blvd will include widening the road from 2 to 4 lanes, pedestrian connectivity and turn lanes.
The added turn lanes benefit both those needing safe entry / exit to and from their neighborhoods as well as the traffic flow for commuters by adding capacity and improving sight distances. Once constructed, the trail (wide sidewalks) will create a continuous pedestrian connection from State Bridge Road to Peachtree Industrial Blvd.

Next Step
Abbotts Bridge Road (from Medlock Bridge Road to Boles Road) construction will begin in spring 2026.
Abbotts Bridge Road (from Boles Road to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard) is currently in the right-of-way acquisition phase.
