The City of Johns Creek has been a Certified Community Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation since 2013. In 2024, the City, in partnership with Johns Creek Beautification, successfully completed the recertification process, both capturing and renewing the dedication to restore wildlife habitats in the City.

The National Wildlife Federation’s Community Wildlife Habitatâ„¢ program partners with cities, towns, counties, neighborhoods, and communities of all kinds to become healthier, sustainable, and more wildlife-friendly. Community Wildlife Habitats garden and landscape with wildlife in mind, promote the use of native trees and plants, work to reduce or eliminate the use of pesticides and chemicals, and integrate wildlife-friendly practices into sustainability plans and park master plans.

Residents can certify their properties on the Certified Wildlife Habitat website or visit Johns Creek Beautification’s website.
