Captain Deb Coble

Captain Deb Coble serves as the Communications Captain and Public Information Officer in the Office of the Chief for the Johns Creek Police Department. She oversees the department’s strategic communications, media relations, public messaging, and Recruiting and Hiring operations.

As the department’s chief spokesperson, Captain Coble is responsible for crisis communications, media inquiries, and the timely release of information during critical incidents. She also leads recruiting and hiring efforts focused on attracting, selecting, and onboarding high quality candidates who meet the department’s professional standards.

Captain Coble began her law enforcement career in 1995 with the Fulton County Police Department, where she served in Uniform Patrol, Criminal Investigations, and Narcotics Investigations. She is an inaugural member of the Johns Creek Police Department and has held leadership roles including Sergeant over the Community Policing Unit, Team Leader for the North Metro Hostage Negotiations Unit, and Interim Lieutenant over the Special Operations Unit. She was promoted to Lieutenant in May 2021 and later to Captain, where she now serves in the Office of the Chief.

Captain Coble holds a Master’s degree in Public Safety Administration from Columbus State University.

Fun Fact: Captain Coble designed the department’s badge, patrol vehicle graphics, and shoulder patch, which later inspired the Johns Creek City Seal.
