The Johns Creek Fire Department has five special units that contribute to successfully providing emergency assistance to the community.

Swift Water Rescue Team
JCFD Swift Water Rescue Team
  • Hazmat:  Johns Creek firefighters conduct joint training and response to alleviate hazardous material-related emergencies.
  • Rope Rescue:  More than two dozen firefighters are trained in rope rescue operations in order to reach victims and safely recover them in emergency situations.
  • Swiftwater Rescue Team:  The JCFD has two rescue boats, a Special Operations Unit and an off-road vehicle to respond to emergencies on the Chattahoochee River.
