Fire Chief
The Johns Creek Fire Department has five special units that contribute to successfully providing emergency assistance to the community.
- Hazmat: Johns Creek firefighters conduct joint training and response to alleviate hazardous material-related emergencies.
- North Metro SWAT Medics: The team, alongside Dunwoody and Sandy Springs, responds with police officers to critical incidents (hostage situations, barricaded suspects, etc.) to ensure prompt medical treatment in the event of an injury or medical emergency.
- Rope Rescue: More than two dozen firefighters are trained in rope rescue operations in order to reach victims and safely recover them in emergency situations.
- Swiftwater Rescue Team: The JCFD has two rescue boats, a Special Operations Unit and an off-road vehicle to respond to emergencies on the Chattahoochee River.
