The Community Development Block Grant is a federal program that began under President Ronald Reagan to provide local control over the distribution of federal grant dollars aimed at providing a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities for low and moderate income persons.
Using CDBG funds, the City has provided for ADA components in the Johns Creek libraries, the renovation of Park Place Active Adult Center at Newtown Park, ADA improvements to Newtown Park, Ocee Park, and Shakerag Park and held fair housing workshops for area professionals and city staff.
