Annual Audit (ACFR)

Following an independent audit of the City's finances by a certified public accounting firm, the Finance Department prepares the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).

The ACFR provides a set of financial statements including the auditor’s report, management’s discussion and analysis, audited basic financial statements and notes to the financial statements.

The city prepares its ACFR in compliance with the accounting requirements promulgated by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and based on the requirements of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the ACFR is prepared and published in April (six months after the end of Johns Creek’s financial year).
