Johns Creek residents can now recycle glass by dropping it off at the designated container in the Ocee Park parking lot.
“We are excited to now offer a way for Johns Creek residents to recycle glass,” said Mayor John Bradberry. “By making this option available to residents, we enable greater conservation and the diversion of these materials from landfills. This is all part of our City’s new certification as an ARC 'Green Community.'"
Glass recycling is one of the city’s initiatives that advances Johns Creek’s goal of Green Communities certification by the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC). Last month, Johns Creek received New Leaf level certification for the ARC’s Green Communities Program, emphasizing the city’s intent to become an officially certified Green Community within two years.
