The Rogers Bridge Trail and parking area will be closed to the public starting Monday, March 1 as crews begin construction on the Rogers Bridge Pedestrian Bridge over the Chattahoochee River.
The existing trail, from Bell Road to the Chattahoochee River, will be the primary construction access route for the pedestrian bridge construction project.
The project includes disassembling and removing the existing steel bridge structure. The new pedestrian bridge will be reconstructed in the same location as a replica of the original, which will provide pedestrians with a connection across the Chattahoochee River.
Due to safety, the Rogers Bridge Trail will be closed for the duration of the project, which is expected to be complete in late summer 2022.
