City breaks ground on Cauley Creek Park

December 14, 2021

Cauley Creek ParkCauley Creek Park construction is now underway after a groundbreaking ceremony Dec. 13.

Mayor-elect John Bradberry, Mayor Pro Tem Lenny Zaprowski, Council members Chris Coughlin, Erin Elwood, and Stacy Skinner, Fulton County Commissioner Liz Hausmann, and members of the Recreation & Parks Advisory Committee marked the start of construction on the 203-acre park. Cauley Creek Park is located on Bell Road, adjacent to the Rogers Bridge Trail and the future Rogers Bridge connection over the Chattahoochee River to Duluth.

The park will feature a 5K rubberized trail, lighted sports courts, lighted grass and synthetic turf playing fields, pedestrian bridges, and river overlooks.

Over the last five years, the City of Johns Creek acquired five separate pieces of property to complete Cauley Creek Park, which has nearly doubled the amount of total city park acreage.

Cauley Creek Park construction is expected to be complete in early 2023.
