As the weather is getting warmer, the Chattahoochee River can be a great place to play, fish, or relax. It looks like a languid, easy-going river, but its appearance can be dangerously deceptive. When the Corps of Engineers releases water from Lake Lanier, the resulting surge of water can cause the river to rise several feet in a short amount of time.
