Community invited to provide input on police chief hiring process

October 21, 2020

Police CarThe International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) is conducting a community survey to gather input for the selection of the next Police Chief for the City of Johns Creek.

The survey, which can be submitted anonymously, will be used to guide the search process and to develop the candidate profile to determine what qualifications the community would like to see in their new chief. All responses will remain confidential and the survey will take less than 15 minutes to complete.

The city hired IACP to manage the search process and help identify highly qualified candidates for the position. Following the conclusion of the survey, IACP will develop and finalize a candidate profile and then conduct outreach and marketing for the candidate search. While managing the screening and evaluation of candidates, IACP will also assemble a future resident stakeholder panel as part of the interview process.

All members of the public who live and/or work in Johns Creek are invited to complete the survey, which will remain open until Friday, Nov. 13.
