The City of Johns Creek and Emory Johns Creek Hospital are encouraging Johns Creek residents to take a step toward better health with Walk with a Doc (WWAD). The program brings doctors and patients together to walk and learn, with the next walk on Saturday, March 9 at 10 a.m. at Newtown Park at the Veterans Memorial Walk.
The walks will continue on the second Saturday of each month.
Every walk will feature a different health topic; each selected to provide information and the opportunity for walkers to ask questions one-on-one with the participating physician. The March walk will be hosted by Dr. James Yost, from Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Dr. Yost specializes in Family Medicine and Urgent Care.
WWAD is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and well being of the country.
