Free Outdoor Fitness at Newtown Park wraps up in October so there are still a few chances to try out these free, outdoor fitness classes! Certified instructors teach these popular classes and all fitness levels are welcome.
The one-hour classes will begin on Sunday, Oct. 6 with Yoga; followed by classes on Oct. 13 and Oct. 20. All classes begin at 10 a.m. and are held at the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater in Newtown Park.
Classes in October include outdoor Yoga, Bar-less Barre, and Zumba.
Yoga moves at a slower pace, improving flexibility, muscle tone, strength, and stress management through stretches, poses, and relaxation techniques.
The Barre classes are ballet inspired exercises that use small isometric movements to build muscle, improve posture, balance, and flexibility.
Zumba/ Dance Fitness is a popular fitness program that combines popular music with easy to follow dance moves for an effective and exhilarating calorie-burning workout!
All participants must bring their own exercise mats. Participants under the age of 16 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
