The Johns Creek City Council approved the thirteenth balanced budget. The $63.2 million General Fund budget was adopted Monday, Sept. 24 for the fiscal year (FY) 2019 beginning Oct.1. The adopted budget includes $42.1M in General Fund expenditures for government services and $21.1M in total for maintenance accruals, vehicle accruals, capital projects, city hall debt service, and E911.

To offset property tax reassessment increases, the City of Johns Creek City Council has proposed a rollback of the city’s millage rate to no higher than 3.870.  The proposed rollback represents a .49 decrease from the adopted 2017 rate of 4.360.  This marks the first time in the history of the city that we are beginning with a revenue neutral rollback.

The Johns Creek City Council announced that the community will become the permanent home for the recently retired The Wall That Heals, Vietnam Veterans Memorial replica that visited the city March 29 – April 2, 2017. The Wall That Heals, a 250-foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC, honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.  It bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.
