Big Green Egg event
Watch the food fight between Johns Creek police officers and firefighters as they square off in the annual culinary competition, “Big Green Egg Battle” on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 5-9 p.m. at the Burkhalter Amphitheater inside Newtown Park.

The two teams will compete to create the most delicious cuisine on Big Green Egg outdoor cookers. Police and fire personnel won’t know what they’ll be cooking until the competition commences. The ticket holders will judge their food, and the winner earns bragging rights and a trophy.

Tickets cost $10 and include dinner provided by A&S Culinary Concepts. Raffle tickets for a Medium Green Egg cost $5. Tickets are available online, and the proceeds benefit the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation.

The Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation was established in 2008 to assist firefighters and police officers injured in the line of duty or to assist their families. As a 501(c)3 entity separate from the City of Johns Creek, the Foundation also promotes and supports community outreach on the part of the Johns Creek Fire Department and the Johns Creek Police Department, and it encourages private sector support for Johns Creek's public safety personnel.
