About Rentals & Reservations

If you are planning an event, whether a birthday party, anniversary, or shower, the City of Johns Creek can help.

Johns Creek parks offer a variety of outdoor event facilities, fields, and courts at our parks, and one indoor facility at Newtown Park. Our parks feature pavilions and a clubhouse space for events from just a few people to 75. Rental fees range from $15 per hour to $45 per hour. 


Make a Reservation

  • Visit the City’s Rec1 website
  • Create a profile/login
  • Click on the “Park Rentals” (green) tab
  • Select which facility you want to rent
  • Check for availability and reserve the facility

Reservations must be made at least 5 business days in advance, but not more than 90 days in advance.

Important

  • Autrey Mill Nature Preserve facilities can be reserved through Autrey Mill’s website.
  • The Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater can be reserved by emailing Recreation Manager Cara Prell at Cara.Prell@JohnsCreekGA.gov or call 678-512-3281.
  • The Johns Creek Fire Station 62 Community Room can be reserved online.

Special Event & 5K / Tournament Rental Request Procedure

Step 1

Contact park staff to ensure availability of park and date. Contact Recreation Manager Cara Prell at Cara.Prell@JohnsCreekGA.gov or 678-512-3281.

Step 2

Complete the Special Event/Tournament Application and pay $200 non-refundable application fee. The application is under the Special Events tab, then Special Events Permits, and click on the Special Event Application Fee, add it to your cart, answer the prompts, and pay the fee. You will need to make an account on Rec1 (or use an existing account) to complete and pay for the application. It is highly encouraged to ensure your date is available before applying as the application fee is non-refundable. 

Step 3

Park staff will review application and contact you within 5 business days to notify you of the status of your application.

Step 4

If approved, staff will you invoice you for the hourly rental rate of facility, additional special event fee (chart below) and all other incidentals. The special event fee is determined by your anticipated attendance. The hourly rental rate and event fee are subject to 50 percent Non-Resident/For-Profit fee. For 5Ks, they are a flat rate and do not include an hourly rate.

Step 5

Provide Non-Profit documentation and Certificate of Insurance with City of Johns Creek listed as Certificate holder and address as 11360 Lakefield Drive Johns Creek, GA 30097.

Step 6

Pay invoice within thirty days. If you have not paid by this time, your rental will be cancelled and your application fee will not be refunded.

Facility Rental Payment and Refund Rules

  • All rentals must be paid for at the time of booking
  • Debit/credit (Visa or Mastercard only) and check are accepted forms of payment
  • If paying by check, the check must be delivered to Cauley Creek Park office by 4 p.m. the next business day after placing the rental
  • Any rentals not paid are subject to be removed without notice
  • Rentals can be placed no earlier than 3 months in advance. All rentals are subject to staff approval based on other rentals, athletic leagues, etc.
  • Any cancellations made more than 5 business days before the rental will receive full refund, no refund after for cancellations 5 business days or less for any reason
  • If you cannot use the field due to weather, you will be able to reschedule to receive an account credit ONLY based on staff approval. Temperature will not be an acceptable reason for cancellation unless the temperature is unsafe (Heat Index of 87 and above will be considered, cold temperature below 40 degrees will be considered)
