A Message from Chief Densmore:
The first Johns Creek Police Department (JCPD) was launched April 26, 2008, ending 33 years of service to the Metro-Atlanta community by the Fulton County Police Department.
The JCPD is a professional law enforcement organization that prides itself on delivering the highest level of quality service possible to the 70,000 residents and nearly 2,000 businesses in Georgia's 10th largest city.
Fifty-six law enforcement professionals make up the “Inaugural Squad” of the JCPD. Our motto is to serve the City of Johns Creek with Justice, Courage, Professionalism and Dedication.
We are honored to serve this great and diverse community and we are committed to the highest standards of a community policing philosophy.
We believe that community involvement and support will be the key to our success and we look forward to working closely with the citizens and businesses of this City as we begin and grow our Community Services.
Please check back here over the coming weeks for more details on our SHIELD (Business Watch) and our PACT (Police and Citizens Together) programs.
I believe we have recruited the most qualified candidates to begin the City’s first Police Department and we are committed to retaining, training and equipping them proficiently in order for them to excel.
Their success will, in turn, bring excellence to the community.
Ed Densmore
Chief of Police
