The JCPD is committed to upholding the highest standards of community policing by providing comprehensive Community Services.
We look forward to working closely with the citizens and businesses of this City as we grow our Community Services. We believe community involvement and support will be the key to our success.
Two planned services have been implemented:
Our first service, launched in July, 2008, is a Business Watch crime prevention and education program called SHIELD that "connects" area businesses with each other and the JCPD.
The second service, launched in October, 2008, is a community policing program called PACT (Police & Community Together), where police and residents work together to solve crimes, identify underlying problems in neighborhoods to prevent future crimes, and clarify any misinformation about alleged criminal incidents.
