The City of Johns Creek has begun development of its first Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan. This Master Plan will provide the City with a 10-year roadmap for the future development of existing and future parks, recreational facilities and recreational programs.
The five-month master plan process consists of five phases:
Phase 1 - Project initiation / Staff & Stakeholder Interviews (April)
Phase 2 - Park and Recreation Needs Analysis / Public Input (May)
Phase 3 - Existing Programs, Organizational Structure, Funding and Facilities Analysis (June)
Phase 4 - Preliminary Comprehensive Master Plan Reports and Presentations (July)
Phase 5 - Final Comprehensive Master Plan Reports and Presentations (August)
The City has contracted with Lose & Associates, a firm with over 25 years experience in park design and master planning to conduct the City's Park and Recreation Master Plan. Lose & Associates has worked with several city and county agencies in the southeast region including Gwinnett County GA, Gainesville GA, Rockdale County GA, Cherokee County GA and Williamson County TN.
