Johns Creek lauds Police “Officer of the Quarter”
CSI Taylor recognized for her dedication, job performance
JOHNS CREEK, GA—Johns Creek Police Crime Scene Technician Tanesha Taylor was selected as the Department’s first “Officer of the Quarter” at an August 1 awards luncheon.
“She was chosen for her dedication and her entire job performance. It [her performance] went way above the call,” said Johns Creek Police Chief Ed Densmore.
Taylor, 31, holds a B.S. in Biology from Clark Atlanta University and an Associate Degree in Funeral Science from Gupton-Jones College. She served 3 years with the Armed Forces DNA lab and as a crime scene technician with the police departments of Alpharetta, Ga., and Gwinnett County, Ga.
“I’m very grateful for this recognition from my supervisors. I respect them for their leadership. I will continue to strive to meet the challenge of the job,” said Taylor.
BB&T Bank at 11145 State Bridge Road in Johns Creek is the sponsor of the JCPD officer awards program and is also sponsoring a similar program for the Johns Creek Fire Department, following its fall 2008 launch.
“Part of BB&T’s mission is to make the communities in which we live better places to be and I can’t imagine anyone who exemplifies that better than our own Johns Creek Police Department,” said Deborah Hicks, Vice President/Financial Center Manager. “It is our pleasure to help honor them in this way.”
