Council member, Randall Johnson, 50, was elected to the Johns Creek City Council following his work as a volunteer with two groups which spearheaded the 2006 incorporation of the city: Citizens for Newtown (CFN) and the Committee for Johns Creek (CJC).
As a founding member of Citizens for Newtown, Johnson helped persuade his neighbors of the Newtown community to "Vote Yes for Johns Creek" in the July 18 voter referendum, which led to the city's incorporation.
Serving on the board of the Committee for Johns Creek, Johnson continued his work as a volunteer to help establish the city prior to incorporation.
He is currently President and Chief Operating Officer of eMediaTRADE, a software company providing services for the media industry.
A native of Belleville, Kansas, Johnson and his wife, Stephanie, have lived in the Newtown community of Johns Creek for 10 years. They have one son.
Johnson holds bachelors and masters degrees from Kansas State University in Agricultural Economics.
