Johns Creek was incorporated in 2006. It is a suburban community of approximately 80,400 people in a 32 square mile area located 30 miles northeast of Atlanta. The City government provides the majority of services, including Police and Fire. It has a City Council/City Manager form of government.
Facts about city services, recreation & parks, permits, code enforcement, public safety, and other pertinent information are listed in City Information. A variety of community resources – cultural, medical, and volunteer opportunities – are available to serve residents, visitors and businesses. A section on alarms and emergencies provides a cross-section of essential emergency and preparedness information.
The community enjoys a number of free and nominal cost events in the park facilities, and other locations around the City.
The Chattahoochee River borders the length of Johns Creek, adding to a diversity of leisure activities. With a mild climate, these can be enjoyed pretty much year-round and is a popular reason why people relocate here.
Local organizations help make Johns Creek a thriving community that supports its public safety departments and veterans.
